N.C. Central University has completed its investigation of a hazing allegation specific to the drum line of the Marching Sound Machine Band. The drum line suspension ended Sept. 25.
NCCU Campus Police, who investigated the allegation, referred the Echo to NCCU Public Relations for comment.
According to a statement from NCCU Public Relations, drum line members violated the NCCU Student Code of Conduct. No additional information is available specific to the violations.
The statement said four sanctions have been imposed: Mandatory attendance at a hazing prevention workshop, a retroactive one game suspension, mandatory staff supervision at all practice sessions and section meetings and 10 hours of community service.
