Does it have to be about black and white? On Feb. 18, Yahoo Sports "Post Game" published a story by Eric Adelson about N.C. Central University student and basketball player Landon Clement. The headline? "White Star, Black School: Landon Clement is the Face of Upstart North Carolina Central."
I am not a coach; I repeat I am not a coach. I am, however, a sports junkie and I believe that NCCU basketball has a problem, but I can't quite put my finger on whether it is good or bad. With a 10-11 overall record and 4-4 in the MEAC, Head Coach LeVelle Moton has a critical decision to make — whether or not to red shirt senior 3-point specialist Landon Clement.
Smaller programs being bullied by bigger programs
Some might wonder: why Rutgers? Why would N.C. Central University, a small HBCU and Football Championship Subdivision team in the MEAC, be playing a Big East, Football Championship Bowl Subdivion team like the Rutgers Scarlet Knights?
